hi there, quite new on here.. looking to make friends

Hey, so I'm a pre-op trans woman living full time since 01/2020 looking to connect with people. I am independent and consider myself to be an ardent feminist. I'm typically a bit reserved out of the gate, but that can change depending on how comfortable I feel around someone. I tend to see myself as: analytical and kind of artsy, love technology, love movies in general (I guess most people would say loving 'film' or 'cinema' is too pretentious!), gritty Netflix and Anime series, music is an integral part of who I am, and I love having conversations about anything from the mundane to politics. I don't eat meat but love all sorts of food. Indian food is my absolute favourite but am always interested in other styles... I'm a hockey fan and just love Sid. As I get older I find that I seek connections with people that are more meaningful and interesting, be they friendships or something of a more romantic nature. I find as the world around us seems to become a harsher place that we need to be kinder - to others AND to ourselves. Easy going fun person. Seeking friends that are respectful and have a positive outlook on life. I have identified as transgender since I was a child but only came out to family and some friends in 2020. I live 100% of the time in girl mode when at home. I am getting more confident and have started to present as Laurie in public. My goal on this site is to meet other transgender individuals. Hang out as friends be it watching a movie, cooking a meal, just chatting and gossiping (maybe I should have not said gossiping lol). I do enjoy watching sports particularly the Jays and Leafs. I am a professional living in downtown Toronto. I am enjoying this journey and am very reflective of each step and experience I encounter. Have taken many steps (both mentally and physically through the last 5 years to be the gender I am. Exciting, expensive and sometimes challenging. I live on my own so have a lot of freedom in what I do.

Jeez...where do i start... I was on E for 7 years, until i got cancer and had to stop E because of a bloodclot. Went through all the fun things (I'm joking of course) that is chemo and cancer therapy had five surgeries, including Kidney battled back to find myself again and here i am. living life and being happy with me.

I am a balanced, very out girl next door type. I have lived a cross life working still as a boy .. and otherwise very feminine for just under 20 years. A therapist I was working with shared with me that finding a partner was like "finding a needle in a haystack." Well I found that needle.. she is warm, loving and amazing.... oh and loves me for the girl I am. I am very out. What started out as a nigh time and very private thing, morphed into a life for myself that is not much different than any of the many gg's I count as friends.
